Box with Bins
What is it:
This is a classic Montessori activity that can help your Child to work on a number of skills over time. When first introduced to this material, She can master the understanding of object permanence by putting the balls and discs into the bins and then taking them out. She can work on the further development of Her wrist muscles and practice hand and eye coordination as She will need to use both hands to perform this challenging task: open the bin with one hand and use Her other hand to place the objects in it. When your Child is older, this material can also be used for learning primary colours and matching exercise - your Child will need to place the balls and discs into the bins of the same colour.
When to introduce:
Around 10-12 months.
